I can't say goodbye. It doesn't seem possible. But I know I won't be seeing her for a while. I won't be getting a phone call from her first thing in the morning saying "are you up?" Nor will I get calls from her while we are out, saying, "when will you be home to read Tyler's email?"
There are a lot of things we won't be doing for a while. And new things we will be doing. We'll be missing her. And we'll remember to check on her family more often. And hopefully, we'll follow her example of continued service.
I can't say more. Just...I love her.

Ditto. I will say this, I've talked to my brothers and sister more since Sam's been gone than in the year previous. I want this to be how we honor her and her legacy, that we continue to do what she did. Talk to each other, pay attention to each other, care about what each other is doing. The only way I can not be perpetually sad about her leaving us it to continue doing what she did for each of us. That is, she kept track of us. Now we have to keep track of each other. That would make her happy.
